Following directions from the Supreme Court, the Greater Noida Authority on Sunday carried out verification of documents for registration of flats of Amrapali Castle, one of the many residential projects of Amrapali group.
The cash-strapped group has three projects in Greater Noida – Amrapali Castle , Amrapali Grands and Amrapali Leisure Valley. The verification of the documents is being carried out after the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC), which took over all the Amprali projects, has finished the remaining construction work in the flats.
As per official information, documents of as many as 65 flat owners were verified by a team officials of appointed for the purpose whereas 45 flat owners approached the officials to know details of the verification process and documents required .
An official told CitySidey that the authority had so far completed verification of documents from 146 flat owners out of a total of 302 flats existing in three towers.
According to the residents, around 230 families have already shifted to the society, of them many are tenants. The project was launched in 2010 and the developer started giving possession of the flats from 2014-15. However, the registry of flats were not done.
Earlier, the authority had held a verification camp for the documents on October 4 and 5 and claimed to have verified the documents of 20 flats while 55 flat owners had turned up to seek information regarding the process.
