Within a week of the protest against unjustified school-fee hike at DPS, Sector 132, Noida, parents gathered at the gates of the school's Sector 30 branch on Thursday. About 100 parents were part of the protest.

Parents alleged that the DPS management had hiked the school fee by 20 per cent in this academic year alone.

V Khatoon, a parent, told City Spidey that they wanted the increased school fee to be rolled back. He said parents were not taken into confidence by the school's management before increasing the fees.

Suraj Sharma, another parent, said that the school management had hiked fees by almost 100 per cent in the past five to six years. "It is unacceptable. The hikes in school fees are a heavy burden on people from salaried and middle-class backgrounds," said Sharma.

Parents also said that if their demand to roll back the fee was not accepted by the school management, they would be left with no option but to go to court.

City Spidey tried reaching the school's principal to discuss the issue, but did not get a response.
