The RWA of Alpha I, Greater Noida, has decided to instal two CCTV cameras at each corner of the sector roads. The step has been taken keeping in mind the rising incidents of burglaries in the sector.

The RWA will finalise the budget for the project after an initial survey. Ranjit Bhati, RWA president, told City Spidey, "We have received so many complaints about burglaries in the last week itself. In Block A, jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh and other costly items were stolen from a house."

Bhati said the project cost would be shared equally between the residents and the RWA.

The residents welcomed the decision.

Neeraj Garg, a resident, said they are willing to share the cost. “We want to live without fear. Incidents of burglaries have risen alarmingly in the past six months. Right now, six security guards are deployed at all times — but clearly that's not enough,” he added.
