Acting on the directions of the Supreme Court, the enforcement agencies have taken strict actions at 13 pollution hotspots in the national capital. 

As per officials, they closed down 23 industrial units which were causing pollution in last three days in the city. “Action has been taken against 23 industrial units for violating pollution norms,” an official said. 

The top court had directed a three-member monitoring committee to look after the implementation of pollution-control measures in the city. 

Its chairman Bhure Lal visited the hotspots of Wazirpur, Ashok Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Dwarka and R.K.Puram on November 8 and Narela, Bawana, Jahangirpuri, and Mundka on November 9.

Among the other actions, the different municipal corporations were successful in 400 metric tonnes of construction and demolition waste 1,200 metric tonnes of garbage and 150 kg of plastic waste.
