New Delhi: After waiting for several years, Chacha Nehru Baal Chikitsalya (CNBC) finally acquired its 120 acres of land from unauthorised parking lot of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). During the intermittent period, the CNBC administration wrote several letters to lieutenant governor (LG) to intervene in the case. 

Now, the young patients of East Delhi will be able to avail better health services near their homes.

The CNBC is an autonomous hospital under the Delhi Government, especially meant for child care medical services, situated in Geeta Colony. 

The land be useful in extending medical services of the hospital. The work of the third phase of the hospital, which will accommodate 700 beds, will also start soon. Paediatric medical emergency is also in the pipeline.

Medical Superintendent of Hospital, Dr Mamta Jajoo, said, “We have acquired our land successfully with the help of L-G. We have made a proper roadmap for the extention of our services. Currently, we have 200 beds in the hospital with 20 ventilator and ICU services. The next phase of construction will give much better opportunity to serve people.”

The new building will include separate medical paediatric emergency having all advanced medical services.
