New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated an open-heart surgery block at the Rajeev Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, Tahirpur. Patients suffering from heart ailments will no longer require to go to private hospitals.

On the occasion, Kejriwal said, “We are giving a stare-of-the-art facility at government hospitals. Doctors in government hospitals are also giving best services on par with five-star private hospitals.”

He recalled five years ago when Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was not in power in the state, only three crore OPD patients have registered annually. The number has now gone up to six crore.

“We are upgrading facility day-by-day so that people do not have to spend money on treatment at private hospitals. Open-heart surgery can now be performed at the Rajeev Gandhi Super Speciality hospital as well,” he said.
