Dwarka: A group of children, belonging to Abhiyan Apartments in Sector 12, Dwarka, finds a novel way to utlise their leisure time in best possible manner. They are using their creativity to beautify the walls of the society using brush and paint.

They are bringing their imagination on the walls of the society. The initiative to beautify the walls was taken by a resident of the society, Monita Dhingra, who herself is a fine art artist.

She shared, “The concept of painting on wall is to engage our kids during the long weekend. It is intended to make the area clean and colourful. We started beautifying the walls since the Children's Day this year and it is still going on.”

“Children are depicting some beautiful forms of art including Perspective, Warli, Abstract, Cityscape,” she added.

Kids belonging to Abhiyan Apartments and few other sectors have been engaged in the activity. They are effectively using their leisure time after attending school for the activity.

“We have planned the activity for weekend or any off day. The initiative is receiving enthusiastic response form other societies too. Looking at the art work and the beauty reflecting from the walls of our society, BSES office, which is in front of our society, has also asked us to paint their walls. We also beautified their walls,” Dhingra said.

She had put forward the plan to beautify the walls in front of the management of the society. Now, after being happy over the art work pursued by children, president of the society is spreading the good work to other societies as well.

“We started this initiative after the society gave permission. Our society's president is sending our work to other society's groups. This is giving us great satisfaction,” said Dhingra.
