NEFOMA meets GreNo Authority CEO to demand improvement in facilities

Greater Noida: Members of Noida Extension Flat Owners Main Association (NEFOMA) met Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) Narendra Bhooshan on Friday and requested to construct facilities for the public in Greater Noida West.

The delegation handed over a memorandum to the CEO in which they have demanded to construct a  government hospital, school, fire station, community centre, crematorium, cemetery in Greater Noida West.

NEFOMA has also written to Chief Minister Yogi Aditiyanath requesting him to establish few basic facilities in the Greater Noida West area for the public as the area is expanding rapidly.

President of NEFOMA, Annu Khan told CitySpidey that already 3 lakh people are living in Greater Noida West and  with time, an expansion will be seen as builders will start giving possession of new flats. As per estimates, more than 20 lakh people will be residing in the area. They will be needing streets (service road), drains, street lights, foot-over bridges etc.

He added, “We have been approaching authority for the same on regular basis. The roads of Greater Noida West are in very bad shape and need urgent repair.”

As per the delegation, CEO Narendra Bhooshan has shown a positive response and will review the demands and do the needful.

The issue regarding temporary gate of Supertech Ecovillage 1 from where an alleged attempt of abduction was made on a  girl was also raised in the meeting.

Supertech Ecovillage has about 8,000 flats and three gates including one temporary gate which was used to access the market and by school-going children. In the first week of December, a girl had foiled her abduction bid by showing courage.

Later, the gate was closed for security reasons but was re-opened after clash and anger among the residents. Citing the same, Shyam Gupta, a member of Supertech Ecovillage's AOA requested the CEO to let the gate open only to be used by the women and children of the society.

Shyam Gupta, Vice President AOA at Supertech Ecovillage 1, said that about 8,000 flats are being built in the society and there are only three gates which are not sufficient. Hence, he has requested for adding two permanent pedestrian gates for residents. He demanded gates near Mother Dairy and Tower J.

“This will help residents in commuting to nearby market for daily needs. We have requested the CEO of GNIDA to approve and allow builder to open the same,” he said.
