Ghaziabad: An alleged case of child abuse has come into light at a residential society located in Raj Nagar Extension. The allegation was made on a security guard deployed in the society for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl inside the premises on Wednesday, told police officials.
Gajendra Pal Singh, Station House Officer of Sihani Gate Police Station told that parents of the minor girl have lodged an FIR against the guard. As per the FIR, the guard made indecent remark and touched the girl inappropriately while she was returning to her home after basket-ball coaching on Wednesday evening.
The police are looking for the guard who is absconding after the incident. Police are trying to locate him after receiving inputs from the security agency which is taking care of the society.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the guard booking him under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and Section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and Section 354A (physical contact and advances involving unwelcome and explicit sexual overtures; or a demand/request for sexual favours; or showing pornography against the will of a woman; or making sexually coloured remarks) of IPC.
As per information, the minor girl is a student of 4th standard and her father works as a software engineer in a private firm.
