Greater Noida: While the pollution level in Delhi-NCR remained in a severe category, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Greater Noida improved drastically and was moderate at 76 on Friday.
A drop in the AQI level can be seen where the levels were in the moderate category, but higher than the recently recorded figures.
As per the data, the AQI recorded at Knowledge Park-III was 76 followed by 74 at Knowledge Park-V area of Greater Noida at 3 pm on Friday.
Analysing the Friday's data from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution control board ( UPPCB), a drop in the AQI level can be seen where the levels were in the moderate category, but higher than the recently recorded figures.
At around 2 pm, Knowledge Park-III recorded AQI of 99 while Knowledge Park-V stood at an AQI of 86 which dropped 12 figures in an hour's time.
The AQI in Noida was also low in comparison to the past several weeks but was higher than Greater Noida, the AQI at Noida was 87 (yellow) in sector 125, 80 (yellow) in sector 116, 122 (orange colour) in sector 62.
The 'moderate' air quality index means that the quality of air is acceptable, it is defined with 'yellow' coding and falls between 51 to 100. While the colour 'orange ' is for 101 to 150 which means unhealthy and sensitive to a few groups.
