New Delhi: United forum of residents of Mayur Vihar phase 3 got assurance for metro connectivity in the area and Khoda Colony. They either want the extension of Vaishali (Blue Line) till Botanical Garden (Blue Line/Magenta Line) or Karkarduma (Blue Line/Pink Line) till Mayur Vihar phase 3.

Vinod K Nair, convener of the forum, said, “We met Sahibabad MLA, Sunil Kumar Sharma, regarding the matter on January 10. He assured us in written that our area will soon have metro connectivity.”

Either Vaishali will be extended till Mayur Vihar Phase 3 or Karkarduma till Khoda. Both the proposed extension would require construction of only six kilometer of metro line. Nair said that this would be the combined effort of both the Uttar Pradesh government and Delhi government.

“We will not stop our agitation until DMRC includes this extension plan in the proposed phase 4 plan of metro construction. We are doing this for our basic rights,” said Nair.
