E-mail to thank Delhi police for fast recovery of laptops goes viral

New Delhi: At a time when Delhi Police faced controversy over Jamia Milia University and JNU incidents, they are in news for acting swiftly to a person's complaint requesting for fast recovery of his lost bag which had two laptops in it. The Delhi Police recovered the bag in two day's time.

Now, as the person has got his laptops back, he wrote an e-mail expressing gratitude to the Delhi Police. The e-mail went viral on the social media. Bhupender Singh, a resident of the National Capital, had written the e-mail to the Delhi Police.

Singh had complained that he lost his bag while coming out from an auto rickshaw. Just when he came out of the auto rickshaw, the driver ran away with his bags. He was going towards Kashmere Gate.

Singh lodged a complaint with Delhi Police, however, (as per the e-mail) he had no hope to find his laptop. Two days after, the Delhi police recovered his bag.

To express his gratefulness to the Delhi Police, Singh wrote an e-mail. “Most of the people with whom I discussed the matter said it is impossible to get them back in the big city like Delhi but the police proved all such views wrong,” he wrote in the e-mail.

Singh, who is a doctor, further wrote, “I am writing these words to extend my heartiest thanks and to acknowledge my gratitude towards Delhi police who took prompt action on our report of lost laptop and recovered it within two days from auto driver who ran away from ISBT, Kashmere Gate with the bag which had two laptops.”

“Thankyou Dr Bhupender Sir!! We understand how crucial finding these laptops may have been for you. This 'thanks and best wishes' definitely motivates us to serve you better (sic),” DCP North, Monika Bhardwaj.
