Dwarka: Environment is the most important subject which needs attention of everyone. It must be included in the policies framed by the government.
We have a firm belief on this and that is why we have prepared a green manifesto which will be sent to the political parties which are contesting the Delhi Assembly elections.
The green manifesto has been prepared jointly by Green Circle and New Delhi Nature Society. It is purely the wishlist of many individual citizens. We wish that the political parties would take cognizance of the same.
The main points of the manifesto incudes 5 per cent additional green area in Delhi, blanket ban on tree felling, reducing stubble burning by forming interstate action committee, minimising AQI level by strictly following GRAP norms and incentivising public transportation by providing tax exemption.
Recently, we met Congress leaders and handed over the green manifesto. We are also planning to meet other political parties to hand it over to them.
After meeting All India Congress Committee (AICC) Joint Secretary Shri Krishna Allavaru and Indian Youth Congress President BV Srinivas, we handed over the manifesto to them. They assured to include the points in their planning.
