MCG demolishes under-construction illegal colony at Shakti Park

Gurugram: Continuing its effort against unauthorised constructions and illegal colonization, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) on Thursday razed the under construction illegal colony being developed at Shakti Park in an area of about one and a half acres. 

During the drive, The Enforcement Team of Zone-1 led by Assistant Engineer Sunil Kumar along with his team reached the site and demolished the pre-cast boundary wall, DPC and under construction structures.

According to MCG officials, an illegal colony was being developed in an area of about one and a half acre. The team, with the help of JCB, demolished the pre-cast boundary wall built in an area of about 5000 square yards. Along with this, three under-construction structures and DPC were razed during the drive.

Around 50 police personnel were present on the spot to deal with any kind of resistance from the locals.

Earlier, the MCG had formed separate enforcement teams under the leadership of zone-wise assistant engineers. It was done on the direction of MCG Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh.

These teams have been instructed to take action on encroachment, unauthorised construction, illegal colonization, illegal encroachments etc. in their respective zones.
