Noida: A blood donation camp held at Mahagun Moderne on Sunday. Residents of the luxury residential society in Sector 78 Noida came out in a considerably large number to donate blood with a spirit of camaraderie.
The camp was organised by the Lioness Ekta Club, a group of socially active citizens of the society. The camp was inaugurated with the lighting of a traditional lamp in which around 100 residents, including office bearers of apartment owners’ association of the society were present.
Savita Gupta, president of the club, said that a van equipped with medical facilities was brought at the venue for the blood donation camp. The residents turned up in large numbers to show solidarity with the cause and take part in the activities of the camp.
She called blood donation a healthy a habit as it not only saves others' lives but also helps the donor maintain his/her health by keeping the diseases like cancer at bay.
