Gurugram: Water supply will be affected in several parts of Gurugram for 24 hours from Friday due to shut down of the master pipeline from Basai Water Treatment Plant and boosting station.

It will be done for carrying out the work of shifting pipeline near Basai Chowk.

The public notice issued by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) stated that there will be part shut down for 24 hours and water supply will be affected between March 6 and 7.

“During shut down, less supply would be possible from Water Treatment Plant in Basai. There will be no supply from boosting station in Sector 16 to master water supply Zone II mainly Basai, Garhi Harsaru, Civil Line, Sector-10, Kadipur, Gadauli, Cyber Park, Sector 15 (1&11), 17, 29, 32, 38, 37-C/D, 30, 31, 39, 40, 42, 43 Sushant Lok I, MG Road DLF Phase I, 11, Ill & surrounding areas,” the notice stated.

Abhinav Verma, Executive Engineer, GMDA said, “Due to the shifting of the water master line at Basai Chowk, water supply from Basai Water Treatment Plant will be interrupted for 24 hours from 6 March. We have issued a public notice to residents advising them to use water judiciously to avoid complete dry condition.”
