Noida magistrate to intervene in Amrapali Zodiac’s problems

At a recent meeting with residents of Amrapali Zodiac, a residential society in Sector 120, Noida, city magistrate Bachchu Singh assured them that he would look into the problems they were facing.

According to residents, they are facing problems regarding basic facilities and maintenance services provided by the builder. Over a thousand people stay in the upscale society.

Singh said that he did not have much role to play in the matter, as their concerns are to be addressed by Noida Authority and the builder. However, he added, “Since you have approached us and urged us to look into the matter, I will certainly call a joint meeting of all the stakeholders, including homebuyers, the builder and Noida Authority officials, to resolve the issues.”

Ramesh Kumar, a resident, told City Spidey that the residents were forced to use borewell water, as the society did not have a water supply connection from Noida Authority, which supplies Ganga Jal in the city. He said, “The builder has not made a formal application for getting a water connection from the Authority.”

Yogender Singh, another resident, said that there were several towers in the society whose construction was not yet complete. “The builder has stopped all construction work in these towers. I have already registered at least four complaints with Noida Authority and the builder. But since no action is being taken, we are compelled to knock on the doors of the district administration,” he added.

City Spidey has learnt that the builder has set up a separate sewage treatment plant in the society. But according to Noida Authority rules, water supply and sewage treatment facilities are to be availed from Noida Authority, which would then charge for the services.
