Noida: Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 51 complained of overflowing sewer lines. They said that the line was blocked for the past six months leading to overflowing of sewer water on the road.

The RWA wrote to Ritu Maheshwari, chief executive officer of the Noida Industrial Development Authority, and drew her attention to the sanitary problem arising from the overflowing sewer.

In a letter to the CEO, they mentioned how the sewer line in blocks C, D, E and F were filled with mud and concrete leading to the overflow in the past few months. This, they said created a pathetic situation in the sector.

Sanjeev Kumar, general secretary of the RWA, said that he had taken up the issue with all the concerned officers. He also met Mukesh Jain, Senior Manager B M Pokhriyal, DGM and OSD of the authority, Avinash Tripathi.

''The issue was brought to their notice, but an action is awaited. We would like to request Ritu Maheshwari to look into the matter on priority and take steps to fix it,” Kumar said.
