Hundreds of homebuyers of Amrapali Princely Estate, a residential project in Sector 76, Noida, carried a protest at the Amrapali Group’s office in Sector 62 on Saturday.

Flat owners of M, N, O and P towers of the project participated in the protest. They said that the finishing work of these towers has not been completed by the builder. Connection of electricity, water supply, installation of lifts and other such works are pending in these towers.

They also demanded a meeting with Anil Sharma, the CMD of Amrapali Group, to discuss the issue.

Flat owners complained that they booked flats in 2010 and the builder promised to deliver flats in March 2015. But, they have not got possession of their flats till date.

Anil Jain, a homebuyer, told City Spidey, that according to an agreement with the Amrapali Group on April 16, 2016, the builder committed to give the letter of possession of towers M and N by the end of August 2016, and of towers of O and P by the end of October, 2016. “But, the finishing work of these towers have been stopped for a year. How will they fulfil their promise?” he added.

There are 16 towers, from A to P, in the project and each tower has 90 flats. Homebuyers of 12 towers have been given possession but those of M, N, O and P towers are still awaiting possession.

When City Spidey contacted Vivek Dixit, Amrapali Group’s general manager, he said, “We will fulfil our promise.” He also said that a meeting of buyers with the CMD of Amrapali Group would soon be scheduled either at the office or at the project site.
