Gurugram: The recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in the Gurugram district has now reached 74.65 per cent. The data from the district health department shows that coronavirus infected patients are recovering at a much faster rate.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri said that the recovery rate of Covid-19 positive patients in the district was just 31.38 percent on June 11, 55.9 percent on June 20, while it has reached almost 75 percent today.

He informed that now the number of people recovering in the district is more than the number of coronavirus infected patients reported daily.

On Thursday, the city reported 106 fresh cases taking the total tally to 5,569 while 202 persons recovered as per the daily health bulletin.

Covid-19 fatalities in Gurugram district now reached 96 with four fatalities reported on Thursday. Of the total coronavirus deaths in the district, 60 had co-morbidity and 36 were without co-morbidity.

So far, a total of 4,290 patients have been discharged after recovery in the district.

The number of active cases in the district is now 1,183, of which, 50 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals. 328 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 50 are under observation while 755 patients are in home isolation.

Till date, the health department has sent 36,419 samples for testing, of which 29,202 were found negative while the results of 322 are awaited.

The city has increased the testing capacity with more than two thousand people being tested every day. Including today, 5,382 persons have been tested in the last three days, of which, 309 turned positive.
