Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 142 new cases, taking the district tally to 7,350, according to the daily health bulletin on Thursday.

The number of recovered cases has now reached 6,197 with 120 patients getting discharged after recovery over the past 24 hours, it said.

The district recovery rate stood at 84.32 per cent, the data showed. The district’s overall number of deaths due to coronavirus counted to 110.

The total number of active cases counted to 1,043 of which 17 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals. 133 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 62 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 831 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, the district administration has reduced the number of containment zones from 106 to 100 on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri notified 89 containment zones in Gurugram block, while 4 in Pataudi and 7 in Sohna, taking the total to 100 containment zones in the district.

As on Thursday, Haryana Covid-19 tally reached 24,002 with 696 fresh cases reported in the state, the state health department said.

The state’s overall number of deaths now counted to 322 with three more fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, it said.

As of now, the number of active cases rose to 5,495, while 518 patients were discharged after recovery in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered patients to 18,185 with a recovery rate of 75.76 per cent, the health bulletin said.

The state positivity rate of Covid-19 stood at 5.94 per cent while the doubling rate is now 22 days.
