Noida: There is a big relief for the commuters who travel frequently between Noida, Ghaziabad and Delhi as there will be no restrictions at the state border from Saturday.

The restrictions were first implemented four months back in March during the first phase of lockdown. It was brought into effect to curb the spread of coronavirus. Delhi had a sudden spike of coronavirus cases back then.

Now, no vehicles will be stopped at the border for checking e-passes. However, there will be restrictions in the containment zones.

The police will continue to monitor the situation at the border. They will be deployed at the border for routine checks.

The district administrations have also allowed sweet and rakhi selling shops to operate in view of the festivals such as Eid-al-Adha and Rakshabandhan.
