Noida: The Noida Authority on Friday cleared up land worth Rs 30 crore in a demolition drive. As per the officials, the authority has intensified the action against encroachment on notified land by mafia.
9,200 square meters of land were made free from encroachment.
“The authority team has taken possession of the land whose cost is Rs 30 crore as per the market rate. Our drive against the encroachments will continue followed by action against those who encroach notified land,” Noida Authority’s CEO Ritu Maheshwari was quoted as saying by the HT.
To claim ownership, the encroachers had put tin sheds at the land, said officials. The land department team of the authority along with police made the area free from encroachment.
The notified land was a part of the planned development as per the Noida master plan – 2031.
