Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s Covid-19 cumulative tally reached 7,000, as 98 more people tested positive of the infection on Saturday, according to the official data.

The district’s overall recoveries jumped to 6,144 after 79 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours with a recovery rate of 87.77 per cent. It was 87.88 per cent on Friday, 87.64 per cent on Thursday and Wednesday, 87.61 per cent on Tuesday and 86.96 per cent on Monday, as per the statistics.

The number of active cases in the district has also gone up to 813 from 793 on Friday, while 43 people died due to coronavirus so far. The mortality rate counted to 0.61 per cent better from 0.62 per cent of the previous day, it showed.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,375 new cases and 70 deaths in the state during the last 24 hours period.

The state’s tally of positive cases has now reached 1,82,456, of which, 1,31,295 patients were treated and discharged so far. There were 48,294 active cases across the state, while the death toll counted to 2,867.
