Noida: Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 54 new cases of Covid-19, taking the district tally to 6,596 on Tuesday, according to the official data.
As many as 88 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period, pushing the overall recoveries to 5,779 with a recovery rate of 87.61 per cent.
Till date, the deadly disease has claimed 43 lives in the district with a mortality rate of 0.65 per cent, it showed.
No death linked to the novel coronavirus has been reported in GB Nagar since August 1.
The number of active cases now stood at 774 in the district.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,336 fresh cases, while 77 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.
The state’s tally of positive cases has now reached 1,62,434, of which, 1,09,607 patients were treated and discharged so far.
There were 50,242 active cases across the state while death toll counted to 2,585.
