Noida: The Noida Authority is planning to start the work of resurfacing on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The officials said that four firms have been shortlisted for carrying out resurfacing work on 25-km long expressway.

The work is expected to commence in the month of September after the selection of a firm for the job. The authority had floated tender to select a firm to resurface the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway in October 2019.

The process to select a firm was supposed to completed by March this year, but it got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“A total of ten firms had submitted applications for the project and four of them have qualified for it. We now hope that the process to finalise one firm will be completed at the earliest so that the resurfacing work can start next month. We will resurface the expressway with a ‘hot-in-place’ technique that recycles already used material,” Rajiv Tyagi, General Manager, Noida Authority was quoted as saying by HT.

Approximately, Rs 69 crore will be spent for resurfacing of the six-lane expressway. ‘Hot in place’ technology will be used in resurfacing work.
