GB Nagar reports 126 new coronavirus cases; recovery rate at 86.18 pc

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 7,960 as 126 more people tested coronavirus positive on Monday, according to the official data.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 6,860 after 80 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours with a recovery rate of 86.18 per cent. It was 86.54 per cent on Sunday, 86.45 per cent on Saturday, 86.65 per cent on Friday, and 86.59 per cent on Thursday, as per the statistics.

At the moment, there are 1,055 active cases across the district which are being treated at various facilities. There has been a continuous spike in the number of active cases, which was 1,009 on Sunday, 1,002 on Saturday and 971 on Friday, the data showed.

The district’s death toll counted to 45 with a mortality rate of 0.56 per cent among the positive cases.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,061 fresh cases and 63 deaths linked to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The state’s cumulative tally rose to 2,30,414, while the death toll counted to 3,486, the state health bulletin said.

Of the total caseload, 1,72,140 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there are 54,788 active cases across the state. The state’s recovery rate counted to 74.70 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.51 per cent.
