142 fresh coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; recovery rate at 85.86 pc

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 8,197, as 142 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Wednesday, according to the official data.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 7,038 after 92 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 85.86 per cent from 86.20 per cent on Tuesday. It was 86.18 per cent on Monday, 86.54 per cent on Sunday, 86.45 per cent on Saturday, and 86.65 per cent on Friday, as per the statistics.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 45 lives in the district. The fatality rate further improved to 0.54 per cent among the positive cases.

According to the health bulletin, the total number of active cases has gone up to 1,114 from 1,067 on Tuesday, and 1,055 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,716 fresh cases and 75 deaths linked to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The state cumulative tally rose to 2,41,439, while the death toll counted to 3,616, the state health bulletin said.

Of the total caseload, 1,81,364 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there are 56,459 active cases across the state. The state’s recovery rate counted to 75.11 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.50 per cent.
