Workshop held to shape personalities of underprivileged children in Dwarka

Dwarka: Children from the underprivileged section of the society living in Sector 3, JJ cluster, are being shaped to build their personalities through workshop at Sector 3, DDA Park in Dwarka. Children are being trained under the project ‘Goal’ of Naz Foundation in association with Choti Si Khushi, an NGO of Dwarka.

About 40 to 50 children are attending the workshops in different groups to learn the skills. Cyber violence, violence, peer pressure, effective communication, leadership, mensuration hygiene, wants and needs, child protection and safe guarding, physical distancing and awareness for corona are the subject in the one-month long workshop.

President of Choti Si Khushi, Seema Joshi, a resident of Sector 12, Dwarka said, “This workshop would give strength to the children to think in a different way and go ahead in life. They need confidence and this workshop is giving them confidence and awareness both.” 

Secretary of Choti Si Khushi, Namitha Chaudhary said, “In this pandemic, internal strength is important. The workshop is giving that strength to the kids. The subjects in the workshop are very important for these kids.”

Namitha said that social distancing, sanitisation of hands and masks are must in the workshop. “All the guidelines are being followed here at the sessions. We are also spreading awareness for coronavirus as children are being sensitized about the ways to themselves keep safe from the disease,” she said.
