Noida: Sec 51 RWA writes to authority about abysmal state of parks

Noida: Residents of Sector 51, Noida have made a complaint against the abysmal state of parks in blocks C and D of their residential pockets. They told that due to the lack of facilities, residents can not rest for a while in these parks.

They gave a letter to Ritu Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer of Noida Industrial Development Authority, requesting her to look into the matter.

In the letter, Sanjeev Kumar, General Secretary of Residents Welfare Association, Sector 51 told that he would like to bring the issue of ill-maintained parks in blocks C and D into her notice. He said that these parks are really bad and in a pathetic state. “These days, green grasses have dried up due to lack of water and parks have now worn a deserted look.” he said.

Kumar told that the boundary walls of these parks have broken at many places. Due to this, unwanted people are taking entry into the parks from anywhere. The pavements are also broken.

“There is a lot of dirt in the parks. They have not been cleaned since long. Dustbins are filled up with garbage and they are not being taken to disposal sites. Maximum benches of these parks have broken and they are not being replaced,” he added.

Considering inconvenience being faced by residents, the RWA requested the higher authority to pass an instruction to the concerned officers and get it maintained.

Acting on complaint, a team of officials including Anand Mohan Singh, deputy director and KP Singh, inspector with department of horticulture on Wednesday visited Sector 51 to take stock of facilities in the parks. They also assured residents that these issues would be solved.
