Noida: Residents of Century Apartments, a residential society in Sector 100, Noida are all set to get better services for disposal of kitchen waste. Park and streets would look more beautiful as they would be painted shortly.
For this, the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of the apartment has entered into an agreement with HCL foundation, an NGO (non-government organisation) assisting Noida Industrial Development Authority for improving the cleanliness of the city.
The HCL foundation would not only educate residents for maintaining cleanliness but also assist them in waste pick up services in the society.
The agreement was signed by Pavan Yadav, president of RWA, Century Apartments. He said that the society has now entered into an agreement with the NGO for improving cleanliness and educating residents.
It was inked as the NGO observed that residents of the society are more active in maintaining cleanliness in and around their society, Yadav informed.
Under the agreement, the NGO would provide e-rickshaws for carrying waste to disposal sites. The kitchen waste would now be disposed of in a more scientific manner as the expert from the NGO would guide residents for the same.
The wet waste would now be turned into compost by disposing them scientifically, Yadav informed. He said, “It would be good for those residents who take interest in painting. The NGO would help them in painting to create awareness among residents.”
Sandhya, from HCL Foundation, Dilip Mishra, Treasurer, Ravi Shankar Sharma, Vikas Mishra, Vice-President, Rajneesh Tiwari, Secretary, Madan Sharma, and other residents were present while the agreement was being signed.
