Noida: Children staying with their parents in different residential societies in Sector 137, Noida may get a sports facility shortly. The Noida Industrial Development Authority has processed the file for fulfilling the demand of developing sporting facilities in their residential pockets.
The demand file was biting dust on the table of the officer concerned. But it has now been forwarded to higher authority for consideration, Abhisht Gupta, an active resident of the sector said.
He said that it has been pending with the department of planning for over a year now. But when he visited the office recently again to take follow up of the progress, he has seen that it is pulled out of the thick bunch of files and processed for higher authority consideration.
Gupta said that residents of the sector would also like to thank Tejpal Singh Nagar, MLA of the constituency as he has taken keen interest in facilitating lack of sporting facilities for children in the sector.
He informed that Nagar has taken efforts for fulfilling the demand. It is on his request to the higher authority, the file has now got the attention of the officer concerned.
Gupta informed that residents of the sector organised several protests in demand of sports facilities in the sector for children in the past. They had also demanded by writing to the authority in the past. But it is yet to come on the ground.
