Dwarka: A stretch at the turn of service lane near the signals of sectors 3/4/12/13 remains complete dark at night in Dwarka. It is located near DJA Apartments.
The service lane runs along the master plan road and it is in front of many societies like Durga Pooja Apartments, White Rose Apartments, Shabad Apartments, Ayudh Vihar Apartments, Swaroop Sadan Apartments etc.
Local residents informed that the darkness is more at the turn near the signals. They said that the stretch is dark near a vacant land.
The residents also said that due to the darkness, the place is always occupied by the hooligans and it is a threat to security in the area.
As informed by them, hooligans consume alcohol standing there or after parking their vehicles. Incidents of crimes too reported in past in the stretch, people said.
The subject has also been discussed in police-public meetings. The authority had given assurances for solutions.
Yet, as seen on the ground, the service lane is still dark, posing threat to safety and security of the nearby societies and the commuters using it.
