New Delhi: On the occasion of National Safety Day, a portion of road caves in due to negligence of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) at Sector 7, Dwarka. It happened in front of plot numbers 10 and 11.
The incident is quite ironic in accordance with the occasion. The situation doesn’t come as a shock to the residents as similar incidents have taken place in the past as well.
People have suffered and dealt with them. Fortunately, no resident has been injured due to the caved road. The omission on the part of the authorities of Jal Board is egregious.
It is actually the fourth time that the same service lane has caved in. This time, the ditch is good enough to engulf two cars. It is a miracle that at the time of caving in, no vehicle was in proximity.
