Indian web series to look forward in 2021

New Delhi: From Scam 1992 to Pataal Lok, we discovered many new talents that had been struggling and hiding beneath not so strong roles. These web-shows not only caught people's fancy but also led to the boom of  OTT platforms.

What's in store for this year? There are so many great shows and new seasons of this series that have amassed a great fan following already lined up for release in this year.

Here are the Indian web shows that we are eagerly waiting for:

1. Family Man 2

Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) and Sharib Hashmi (JK Talpade) are all set to take a bigger and deadlier mission this time. After the grand  success of season 1, the season 2 of the show is slated to release this summer. Also starring Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Gul Panag, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Samantha Akkineni, the mystery of the first  season that ended on the cliffhanger will be solved soon.

2. Asur 2

The psychological thriller had palpable suspense and lot of twists and turns. Being hailed as a masterpiece, the expectations from season 2 are quite high. First season starring Barun Sobti (of Pyaar Ko Kya Naam  Doon fame) and Arshad Warsi revolved around CBI's forensics team which was on a mission to catch a serial-killer. The killer, who thought of himself as an Asur, was surprisingly always a step ahead of them.

3.  Made in Heaven 2
Created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, Made in Heaven, a wedding agency catering to the upper class, offers a glimpse into the lives of the Delhi elite, revealing some dark truths beyond the glittery exteriors of their existence. 4. Mumbai Diaries 26/11

Saluting the bravery of frontline heroes, the medical drama starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai and Shreya Dhanwanthary in lead roles, depicts the untold story of doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital staff, who worked tirelessly to save lives during the attacks that ravaged the city. The show is set to release in March on Amazon Prime Video.

5. Special Ops 1.5 (The Himmat Story)

Special Ops continues to stand out as one of the most engaging web series streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, this crime thriller had left us on the edge of our seats, thanks to some crisp narratives. Bringing cheers to the fans, the makers of the series recently announced that Special Ops 1.5 will soon be made available to them on the OTT platform. While it might not exactly qualify as a sequel, the series will take us back to 2001 and explore  the formative years of Himmat Singh (Kay Kay Menon).
