New Delhi: 86-year-old Indian author of British descent Ruskin Bond shared a picture of himself holding his beloved book and it is going viral. He shared his favourite book with his followers on Facebook. Can you guess what it is?

“My favourite book,” read the caption of the post which featured Bond sitting on an armchair with a voluminous edition of the Oxford English Dictionary.

On Sunday evening, Ruskin Bond posted a picture of himself with his followers with the caption, “My favourite book.” In the image, he can be seen sitting on an armchair, dressed in warm woolen clothes and surrounded by an endless number of books.

The post managed to garner more than 2.7k likes, hundreds of shares and several comments.

He was born in Himachal Pradesh's Kasauli in 1934. Bond is one of the most famous and beloved Indian authors. He helped shape the childhood of generations with the tales he managed to spin with his words.

He has written books including Rain in the Mountains: Notes from the Himalayas, A Town Called Dehra, and Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra, Ruskin Bond's Book of Nature, A Little Book of Life and The Room on  the Roof.

He also created the popular fictional character Rusty, an orphaned 16-year-old boy from Dehradun. Rusty, the Boy from the Hills, Rusty and the Magic Mountain and The Adventures of Rusty are some of the renowned books in the series.
