New Delhi: The Delhi government on Monday ordered that one-third of the vaccination sites in all the government hospitals will also function from 9 pm to 9 am from April 6, 2021. This step has been taken in the wake of sudden increase in cases of coronavirus in the national capital.

However, when CitySpidey spoke to Dr Arjita, Senior Gastroenterology, Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital, she said, “The workload of doctors has been increased more now. We were working hard earlier and now we have to work harder.”

She said that people  have started to be lenient about precautions regarding Covid-19 and have started enjoying at weddings and doing parties without any responsibility. These things need to be kept in check for the situation to come under control.

Dr Arjita shared that sometimes they needed to shut down the outpatient department due to lack of doctors in the Covid department.

“This is all due to the rise in Covid-19 cases, but now 24 hours vaccination time may make things easier and more people can get vaccinates as soon as possible.” she concluded.
