Another drive-through Covid-19 vaccination in Delhi-NCR

In an effort to boost the vaccination drive, United by Blood has been organising drive-through Covid-19 vaccination camps in Delhi-NCR since May 26. This is an initiative led by IAS officer Abhishek Singh, founder of United by Blood foundation.

"We have been receiving positive feedback from the public for our drive-through programs so far. We hope to replicate the same success this time around as well," said Singh.

Anyone above the age of 18  can now drive into the facility and get vaccinated by just rolling down their car's windows.

People can avail both the doses of the Covishield vaccine currently. One needs to check the slots and pre-register to get the token for the vaccine at

After getting vaccinated, park your vehicle and wait for 30 minutes, in case someone feels uneasy they can switch on the parking light to alert the medical staff. They will reach out immediately.

For the convenience of citizens, United by Blood will provide a LIVE feed on the number of doses available and the number of cars in the queue, so that they can plan their drive-in accordingly.

Since everyone will be in their cars, social distancing norms will be automatically followed.

The IAS officer tweeted, “Drive through Vaccinations for 18+ and 45+ age groups by @unitedbyblood18 at three locations tomorrow and day after (4-5 June) For details, pls log on #VaccinationInCar #IndiaFightsCOVID19 #LargestVaccinationDrive”

"We recognise immediate and widespread vaccination as a prong in the two-pronged strategy to help with the current situation, the other being community participation in revamping healthcare infrastructure," Singh said.

"To speed up the vaccination process we must infuse innovation and technology to provide comfort, convenience and safety for the citizens. With drive-through vaccination facilities across malls and public stadiums, we aim to achieve maximum vaccination numbers in our nation," he added.

"Vaccination in the car is a quicker, safer and a more convenient way of vaccination," the IAS officer said, adding that UBB has already requested other state governments across India to start a similar initiative.

Saumya Singh got vaccinated on Friday at Ambience mall in Vasant Kunj through the drive-through vaccination camp. Sharing her experience she said that the process is very well organised. She just rolled down the windows of her car and got the vaccination administered. She says that this way the vaccination drive can be made smoother and safer.

Till date, more than 2,800 people have been vaccinated through this initiative. Stay safe and get your jab at the earliest.
