Dwarka: Brahma Apartments, Sector 7, Dwarka, along with Rise Foundation started a new  initiative “Ecobricks” to keep environment clean and healthy. They are also planning to take this initiative forward to more societies in Dwarka.

Ecobrick initiative’s aim is safe disposal of small plastic and dry waste. Rise Foundation requested the RWA to promote waste segregation at source and reduce the burden on landfill.

Munish Kundra, Secretary of Brahma Apartment said, “It's a request to all to segregate waste generated at home and use the organic waste for composting. All the single-use plastic should be collected and made into Ecobricks which can be used for making structures like benches, this will prevent a lot of single-use plastic going into dumps where it cannot be segregated.”

He further added, “We have been spreading awareness in the society. A lot of members have started collecting their plastic waste and have made ecobricks. We have made an ecobrick bench in the park.”

Rise Foundation founder Madhukar Varshney said, “Experience strengthens us and shapes us for the next chapter.”
