Electric bikes, scooters are here to stay, check some options

Electric vehicles are touted to be the future of the automotive industry. There are reasons for it. While the electric vehicles could be an answer to the menacing air pollution, the maintenance cost of the vehicles is quite low. You just need to charge your electric vehicles and you are ready for the ride. The skyrocketing prices of fuel in India, which has breached the Rs 100 mark for a litre, also makes electric vehicles a viable option. It is for this reason many automobile companies have launched many options for people.

The popularity of electric bikes and scooters is also on the rise. They can be managed very easily. In the case of electric bikes and scooters, the acquisition cost could be higher but it compensates in the long run with the low maintenance cost. Accounting firm Deloitte in its report said that 300 million electric bikes will be out on the world's roads by 2023. Seeing an opportunity, many automobile companies have started focussing on production of electric bikes and scooters.
