Gurugram: The residents of many societies in Sector 37D, Gurugram are facing a lot of problems due to persistent waterlogging issue as there is no proper road in the area.
“Imagine taking a 10 km detour to reach a hospital just at the boundary of my society,” said Yadvendra Yadav from NBCC Green View society. He said the sentence in the context of the water logging problem in his area this rainy season.
As gathered from Yadav and the relevant sources, the incomplete construction of a 145-meter patch on a 60 m wide road has made life tough for the people living there. Societies like ILD Green, Ours Homes, Ramprashtha, and Basai Residents are also affected.

“Due to unavailability of access as there is no complete road, no ambulance can reach the area and hence it is a big problem for us. An additional 10 km distance has to be covered to reach schools and offices as there is no road. Many residents are leaving Sector 37C and D societies as they are tired of long-standing road issues,” said Yadav.
After recent rains, Yadav shared the photographs of the area and a message in different resident WhatsApp groups to make them aware of the condition. The subject has been communicated by the people of the area to the civic bodies, but still, there is no relief. From the complaints sent to civic bodies, it was gathered that because of no roads, every monsoon the area becomes something like an island with a pool of water around.
As a result, no cabs agree to come to the area. Streetlights cannot be installed due to the incomplete project. Connectivity to local markets, offices, and expressways is a problem. Facilities like city buses remain unavailable to the residents as there is no road.
Yadav emphasised that for two years, the residents of the nearby societies have been complaining at various public redressal portals including the CM window, but still waiting for any positive result.
