Look who's starting a wrestling league in G-town! Dalip Singh Rana speaks to the media during the press conference.

Here’s some great news for fans of professional wrestling. World-famous wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as the Great Khali, is organising a new league called Professional Wrestling Fight in Gurgaon.

In the tournament, 15 international and 35 Indian wrestlers will be participating. The event is set to begin on October 8, with the finale to be held on October 12 in Panipat. Both men and women wrestlers would be seen in action in the league.

Speaking at a press conference, Rana said he had created a body called Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE), whose aim was to produce thousands of wrestlers like him. There are already three to four wrestlers trained by CWE participating in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He added that Indian wrestlers would be trained and taken to European countries for professional wrestling, as it was his aim to make the sport as popular as cricket.

Rana returned from the US recently and decided to start the league. He has already begun training youngsters in an effort to help them not only earn a livelihood but also keep them away from alcohol and other vices. There are about 200-250 people being trained in his academy.
