Finally, the nominations of the most awaited awards universally are out today. The Academy Award is the biggest, most prestigious title in Cinema. Exceptional work from all over the world is chosen diligently to compete for it.

The official presentation of 94th Academy Awards nominees will be announced on February 8 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. At 5:18 a.m. Pacific time, the announcement will be live-streamed worldwide (6:48 pm in India). Tracee Ellis Ross of Black-ish and actor-comedian Leslie Jordan will co-host the event, which will reveal the 2022 candidates for all 23 Academy Award categories.

Oscar Nominations 2022 will be televised live on Oscars.com and the Oscars' official YouTube channel. It will also be broadcast live on the Oscars' official social media accounts, such as Twitter and Facebook.

The 94th Academy awards will be held on Sunday, March 27, and televised live on ABC.

The Power of the Dog by Jane Campion, Belfast by Kenneth Branagh, and Reinaldo Marcus Green's tennis biopic King Richard by Reinaldo Marcus Green are among the films projected to receive the best picture nomination. Popular titles like Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi epic Dune, as well as Steven Spielberg's West Side Story remake and Paul Thomas Anderson's Licorice Pizza, are in the running. Spider-Man: No Way Home, a Marvel film, could surprise candidates.

Don't Look Up, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Nightmare Alley, and the biographical House of Gucci are among the other contenders.

We are all well aware that South cinema is reaching new heights with its unique storylines and gripping plots. It is a proud moment for the South cinema, Suriya's critically acclaimed feature film Jai Bhim is amongst the 276 titles that will be eyeing the shortlist for the Best Film category at the upcoming 94th Academy Awards.

After 2018, this will be the first time that awards will be held offline at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angles on March 27. It will air in more than 200 regions worldwide. The ceremony was initially planned for February 27 but was postponed due to the Omicron surge of the COVID-19 pandemic.
