UER-II widened for easing vehicular traffic in Dwarka

The ongoing construction work (road widening) at the Urban Extension Road-II (Dwarka Link Road) has resulted in increased traffic at Dwarka-Palam flyover. Dwarka Traffic Police has thus intimated that UER-II has been widened for vehicular movement after discussion and meeting with the National Highways Authority of India. This the traffic police have advised residents and commuters to use UER-II (Dwarka Link Road) for going to Gurugram, Maipalpur and South Delhi to avoid massive congestion on the Dwarka-Palam flyover.

Recently at Dwarka, it has been observed that traffic volume has been increased and shifted to Dwarka Palam flyover as a result of the narrowing down of the Dwarka Link road due to ongoing work. Commuters travelling to Gurgaon from Dwarka, Vikas puri, Uttam Nagar and coming from Janakpuri were facing a lot of traffic jams on their way due to this ongoing work. A large amount o this traffic had shifted to the Dwarka-Palam flyover causing traffic jams on this stretch.

Rajesh Kashyap, the resident of Dwarka, says, "I have been facing a lot of traffic issues at the Dwarka -Palam flyover, I leave for work around 9, and it took me hours to reach the destination. There is only one traffic police to tackle the overloading traffic. It takes hours to reach Gurugram. Hours of standing at the same spot and listening to all the honking are frustrating."
with the newly widened Dwarka Link Road things are expected to become easier for commuters using this stretch of road to commute from west Delhi and Dwarka to Gurugram.
