Parents welfare society organize book donation/book exchange fair at Gaur city

Gautam Budhha Parents Welfare Society GPWS organised a mega book donation and exchange fair on March 27, 2022. The drive took place at Kidzee Playschool, Gaur city 1, for the residents of Noida and Greater Noida.

A request was made by Yogesh Bhadaur, Vice President of GPWS to all the parents to make a set of all the books from classes 6 to 12 and bring them if they are unused so that all the parents can benefit by exchanging books at the book exchange fair.

As per society, the students often stock the books for future use. After some years, when they are not used parents sell them as junk. Keeping this in mind, the Gautam Budh Nagar Parents Welfare Society is on the mission to save money, save the environment and promote the message of 'sharing is caring'.

GPWS witnessed the grand success of the book exchange/donation fair at the Noida chapter on March 20, 2022, and a similar success at Kidzee Playschool, Gaur city 1 during the exchange fair.

Yogesh Bhadaur says, “This book donation/exchange drive was a thoroughly successful event. Our campaign marked the presence of many parents all across the city. We were able to provide book sets to almost 80% of parents. We also distributed fresh sets this time.”

Shivani G.Sharma, Ajnara Homes says, "The book exchange fair in Gaur City organized by GPWS was amazing because the team is motivating the new generation to recycle books. It is a great way to make children conscious of the environment. It also teaches them community integration and helpfulness."

Members of GPWS share that a team is always ready for book collection. When they receive a call from any parents regarding book donation, they visit door to door for the collection of the books. Many families even contribute by purchasing new book sets and stationaries like notebooks and pencils to distribute to underprivileged children.

Achal Rohit, Social Worker and Volunteer GPWS say, “We request all the parents whose ward has progressed to the next class to donate/exchange the books so that they can be used by others. Our team will help to collect the books and provide them to the other children who are going into these classes."

Amarjeet Rathore, Social worker, and volunteer of GPWS say, “Book donation drives save the environment and reduce the cost of education for parents. We will plan more such drives to help parents acquire books free of cost. Our effort is to reuse the books by children so that they get some relief from ever-rising educational costs."
