Gurugram: SUDHA Foundation organize awareness program on Menstrual Hygiene Day

Gurugram: SUDHA Society Foundation, an NGO working towards the upliftment of marginalized sections in society, organized an awareness camp for women on the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day. The program aimed to create awareness of the importance of hygiene during menstruation. During the event, sanitary pads were distributed to more than 150 women and girls in areas of Ghasola village, Bhondsi village, and Basai enclave JJ cluster.

While addressing the gathering, the President of the SUDHA Foundation, Ruchi Saxena says, "Millions of women living in villages and cities of Haryana are still unaware of important facts related to menstrual hygiene. All women must be aware as sight negligence can cause serious diseases like Hepatitis B, Cervical cancer, and urinary tract infections. Using clean products and seeking doctor's advice is the key to ensuring hygiene."
