Dwarka: Roads of Sector 8 are in bad shape. Potholes cracks and uneven surfaces create everyday problems for the commuters. As gathered, the problem has existed for some years now.
Amit Kumar, a resident of Block D and also coordinator of RWA says, “The main roads have been neglected by the authority for more than a year while the inner lanes have not been taken for concern for about four years. What is more to say about the apathy of the civic body? (DDA).”
Amit emphasized some roads like the road from Queen’s Valley School towards sector 8, the road towards the metro station of Sector 8, and the road from sector 8 towards sectors 22 and 21 that need urgent repairing.
Residents share that due to the bad condition of roads, rainwater gets logged making commuting difficult. Prabhdeep Kaur, Vice President of RWA, D Block says, “Why is the authority not bothered about our plight. The inner lanes have been damaged for the past four years. Forget repairs, there has not even been an inspection here for many years."
