A day before the official trailer of Brahmastra, Mouni Roy's character has been unveiled. Roy who started from TV and then debuted in Gold opposite Akshay Kumar would be playing Junoon, the queen of darkness in Brahmastra. She emerges from deep hues of red, black and gold, wearing red eyes. The actress can be seen sporting red eyes with dark kohl. While some fans are cheering her, some netizens are calling it 'the return of nagin'.
Unveiling the latest poster, director Ayan Mukherji captions it, "Karle sabkko vash mai apne, andhere ki rani. Brahmastra ko haasil karna, yeh Junoon nai thani hai" (Junoon, the queen of darkness, who can cast a spell on anyone, has set her eyes on the Brahmastra.)
Ayan gives some inside details while unveiling Mouni's look. He praised her performance and called her 'the surprise package of the film'. He says, "A lot of people, I think, are going to walk out of Brahmastra, talking about Mouni Roy's performance as Junoon. Moun-who has a deep belief and deep surrender for Lord Shiva- has always understood Brahmastra very naturally- and with that understanding, she really killed it with her part in the film!"
Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva is a very special project for Ayan Mukherji and its stellar cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna. The movie would be released on September 9, 2022.
