Lipstick Stains- A prose poetry

And when the world drives you crazy, would you still be crazy for me?

Lipstick Stains- A prose poetry

The following prose poetry has been written by Shivanshi Mewar. Shivanshi is a young writer who says she is figuring out the world through each word she pens.

I would always want to give you lipstick stains, but with time, I might also give you scars. In the start, we would not wish to live without each other, but then on some days, we'll try to live without each other. We'll drown a few times, but I want to see if we'll endeavor to swim before we completely give up. And when we are exhausted with each other, I want to find out if the love will ever get exhausted. With time, when people will get involved in our lives, I want to witness if you'll still hold me tightly. and every time I will try to destroy our home, I want to know if you would stop me or not as if I'm breaking you into a million pieces. In the start, we'll be a song, but I want to find out if we would have the perseverance to bear the screams that come with time. Crave for the honey in me, but don't forget love stings too. And when the world drives you crazy, would you still be crazy for me?

Writer's Highway- As children, we grew up on stories. We heard them, played them in our heads and sometimes added our own words to them and made them our own. But with time we lost this ability to hear or tell stories.  The world of stories, although fictitious, often whispers life's deepest and hidden truths to us. Now CitySpidey offers you a platform to rekindle the spirit of the imaginative writer in you. We invite all writers to pick up their pens and travel free through the highway of thought. We welcome original stories and poems that would be featured on our website. Please send them to alvira.nasir@cityspidey.com. Kindly keep 'Submission for Writer's Highway' as the subject of your email.
