Greno West: Women of Shri Radha Sky Gardens celebrate Sindoor Khela

October 5 was a busy day at Shri Radha Sky Gardens, Sector 16B as the society's Durga Puja Committee organized Sindoor Khela followed by arrangements for immersion of the idol. Society women gathered in traditional Bengali attire rejoiced in the crimson colours of Sindoor Khela and performed Dhunuchi Nach.

After months of preparation, Durga puja progressed quickly throughout Delhi NCR with Ananda mela, pandal hopping, and aarti soon followed by sindoor khela and visarjan on Navami. The goddess bid adieu to her devotees on October 5, 2022, but before that, it was time for Sindoor Khela.

Neetu Shukla, a member of the Durga pooja committee and a resident of Shri Radha Sky Gardens society says, "We have missed a lot of things over the past two years due to the pandemic. But this year we made sure to celebrate the festival with full enthusiasm. This Navratri, we had many cultural events where the youth and children displayed their talents."

Sangeeta Shekhar, a resident of Shri Radha Sky Gardens says, "It is after a long time that we are celebrating festivals like this. We owe this to our committee who have organized such beautiful events. This time, women from other societies came to Sindoor Khela, some had never experienced it. I was happy to look at their happiness."
